Being a Woman Traveller!

We can literally never pack light!

I need one extra t-shirt and shorts is the biggest lie we tell ourselves. And that scarf will be handy when the sun comes out; that too on top of the cap that I already have on my head. All lies!

‘Girl, are you shifting to another city?’ is a very normal question girls get asked when they plan to travel.

Travel light, they say. 2 suitcases, one backpack and one handbag is light enough!

We have everyone covered when it comes to any kind of creams and lotions!

‘You have body lotion, right?’

‘Of course! Take the body lotion and the lip guard for your cracked lips. I have some soframycin for the cut on your arm.’

We are literally prepared for doomsday!

Periods! The monthly demon in our lives.

‘So, you are going on a long holiday? Hmm. There is swimming and trekking you say?' said Uterus.

‘Why? Why are you asking me all these questions?’ I asked.

‘Because it’s time to take Periods along too.’ Uterus said.

‘Nahi!! Ekdum barbad ho gayi hai meri life.’

People are extra-nice to us.

The world has special respect for women travellers. When you choose to travel, you meet wonderful people.  They will make sure we are comfortable and that we have everything that we need.

But we have to be careful about creeps

There are creepy people everywhere. Even if they are a tiny minority, it is important to think about safety. Also, we won't take anything lying down. There are always people ready to help out once we raise an alarm.

We always have food

When everyone has finished eating whatever they had, we know we have secretly stashed a packet of cookies and khakras in our bags. They are to be used only in emergencies!

We are never fully trusted with the car

What the hell! We are as good as any other driver on the road. And yes, we can parallel park all by ourselves. So stop judging us and let us take the wheel.

We have the power to keep calm and think straight in any calamity

We really get going when its the need of the hour! We can not only take care of ourselves but manage to cheer up everyone else as well while we figure out how to solve the problem.

Forever tanned

People are worried about being forever single. All we worry about is being forever tanned.
Haldi and milk have also given up on us!
